Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024

On September 16, 2024, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced the “Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024,” slated for Medan, Jakarta, and Bali. This initiative aims to fortify Thailand’s appeal as the quintessential destination for Indonesian tourists. Mrs. Sirinard Chatsupakul, Director of the TAT Jakarta Office, emphasized the event’s role as a vital business-to-business marketplace to foster collaboration with Indonesian tourism partners.

Showcasing Thailand’s Travel Experiences

Set to kick off in Medan on September 17, the road show will move to Jakarta on September 18 and conclude in Bali on September 20. A Thai delegation comprising 18 tourism suppliers and over 100 Indonesian travel agents will participate. The one-day programs include Thailand’s product updates, B2B sessions, and a banquet with lucky draws. TAT highlights five compelling travel themes: Must Taste, Must Try, Must Buy, Must Seek, and Must See.

Promising Growth in Indonesian Tourists

The event aims to familiarize Indonesian agents with the “Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End” theme. TAT reports substantial growth in Indonesian tourists, totaling 760,938 in 2023 and 570,386 in just the first eight months of 2024. The projections anticipate reaching 900,000 tourists by year-end, driven by Indonesia’s robust economy and enhanced air connections. This proactive marketing underscores Thailand’s diverse and enticing travel experiences for Indonesian visitors.
