Agoda’s data highlights continued travel growth to Thailand in the first half of 2025, driven by key markets such as China, Malaysia, and South Korea. Popular destinations include Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket.

Key Insights into Thailand’s Tourism Boom

Bangkok, 17 July 2025 – Agoda reports a steady influx of visitors to Thailand, led by China, Malaysia, and South Korea, with Japan and Singapore following. The findings align with Thailand’s enhanced air connectivity and the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 initiative. This campaign has bolstered travel by simplifying travel facilitation and improving infrastructure.

Popular Destinations and Emerging Trends

Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket remain top visitor favourites. Hat Yai is gaining popularity, especially among Malaysian and Singaporean tourists, due to its affordability. As it earns recognition as a budget-friendly city, Hat Yai is becoming a prominent travel destination. This trend demonstrates a shift towards discovering new, cost-effective travel options within Asia.
