# ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy and Management Exchange: Capacity Building Workshop 2025

**AMRO and CAFS co-hosted the ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy and Management Exchange Workshop
in Dalian, China, fostering collaboration on fiscal policy through the new AFPME
platform.**

### Successful Collaboration in Dalian

AMRO collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences (CAFS), a part of 
the ASEAN+3 Financial Think-tank Network (AFTN), to co-host the ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy
and Management Exchange (AFPME) Capacity Building Workshop. This event took place
in Dalian, China, on October 27-28, 2025. Both organizations aimed to foster an 
environment where ASEAN+3 members could engage constructively on fiscal matters,
paving the way for more integrated financial cooperation and understanding across
the region.

### Launch of a New Platform

Supported by the China Technical Assistance Trust Fund, AMRO introduced the inaugural
workshop as a central activity under the new AFPME initiative. This platform, launched
in 2025, seeks to provide a venue for ASEAN+3 countries to exchange views, share
experiences, and collaborate on pressing fiscal policy issues. The event marks a
significant step forward in enhancing regional dialogue, ensuring participating 
nations can benefit from shared knowledge and strategies in fiscal management.
