Thailand and the Philippines have agreed to enhance their trade competition regulation
through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), focusing on the agricultural and
food industries.

 * Thailand and the Philippines are aiming to create a fair trade and investment
environment, particularly in the agricultural and food industries, through a
   new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
 * The MOU will enhance the enforcement of trade competition laws in both countries
by strengthening the relationship between the Office of Trade Competition Commission(
OTCC) of Thailand and the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC).
 * The MOU is expected to benefit both Thailand and the Philippines by establishing
a fair competition environment, especially as Thailand anticipates increased
investments and exports to the Philippines in the agricultural and food industries.

The MOU aims to create a fair environment for trade and investment, with the Office
of Trade Competition Commission of Thailand and the Philippine Competition Commission
working together to strengthen enforcement of competition laws. This cooperation
is expected to benefit both countries, especially as Thailand increases investments
and exports to the Philippines. The MOU is particularly beneficial for the Thai
private sector, given the Philippines’ focus on food security as a national agenda.
