# CIMB Thai secures top position in the bond market with a 21.7% market share

**CIMB THAI Rises to Number One “Fixed Income Securities” with a trading value of
more than 1 trillion baht. Occupying the No. 1 market share, being recognized as
the Best Bond Dealer and winning 5 Best Bond Awards 2024**

Mr. Pao Chatkanon Executive Vice President CIMB Thai Bank (Treasury & Markets) disclosed
that CIMB THAI selects high-quality debt securities. High yield Delivered to institutional
customers, Interbanks, and retail customers, with experts taking care of customers

As a result, in 2024, the Bank held the No. 1 market share in the trading value 
of all types of bonds with a maturity of more than 1 year (All Bonds Outright Trading
Value) of 1.07 trillion baht. The company has a market share of 12.99% and occupies
the No. 1 market share of the Corporate Bond excluded Commercial Paper Outright 
Trading Value of 171 billion baht. The market share is also 21.69%.

CIMB THAI Bank won 5 ThaiBMA Best Bond Awards 2024, including:

1. Best Bond Dealer Award, an outstanding award given to financial institutions 
that are debt dealers who are recognized for their excellent service to partners
in the secondary market.

2. Most Active Bank in Corporate Bond Secondary Market Award is given to banks that
promote the liquidity of private bonds in the secondary market. The total value 
of private bond trading was the highest in 2024.

3. MOF’s Sustainability Bond Contributor Award Awarded to financial institutions
that have been allocated government sustainability bonds.

4. Best SOEs Bond Contributor Award is given to the sponsor of the auction of state-
owned enterprise bonds that are the highest supplier by the Ministry of Finance,
and 5. Sales Staff of The Year Award is given to a bond marketing officer who is
recognized for his customer service ability and work ethics.
