WHA Group Announces 5-Year plan following Trump 2.0 to Attract More Chinese Investors

WHA Group unveils a 5-year business plan targeting total revenue of 150 billion baht. The growth is driven by strong Chinese investor interest for three consecutive years, contributing 65% of investments, primarily in the automotive and electrical appliance sectors. Mid-year, the company also announced an average land price increase of 20-30%.

The company plans to invest 119 billion baht over five years (2025-2029), aiming for a 2.9-fold revenue increase from 2024. WHA Group is focusing on sustainability, targeting 20,000 EVs in service, 1,200 MW of renewable energy capacity, and significant reductions in water consumption and waste by 2029. The company’s 2024 performance and numerous awards demonstrate its success in implementing its strategies.

Trump 2.0 encourages China to move more investment

Since 2023, China accounted for 65% of the investment in WHA, followed by the United States (12%), Taiwan (6%), Japan (4%), and Thailand (2%).

Mr. Pajongwit Pongsiwabhai Chief Executive Officer WHA Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (WHA ID) said that in 2024, the company had a total land sales of 2.565 rai, divided into 2.453 rai in Thailand and 112 rai in Vietnam, and a total of 2.070 rai of land transferred, divided into 1,727 rai in Thailand and 343 rai in Vietnam.

In addition, at the end of 2024, the company has a total of 15 industrial estates. It is located in Thailand 14 and Vietnam 1. The company also has an industrial estate area in Thailand that is under construction and waiting for development, a total of 7 projects on an area of 8.810 rai to receive land from investors which is expected to increase continuously.

In January 2025, the Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the local government of Thanh Hoa province to develop two industries with a total area of about 4,000 rai.

Meanwhile, in 2025, the company continues to focus on maintaining its leadership in Thailand and expanding its business in Vietnam, as well as looking for opportunities to expand its business to other countries. The company aims to sell a total of 2,350 rai of land, including 1,700 rai in Thailand and 650 rai in Vietnam, while focusing on attracting foreign investors in target industries such as automotive, electronics and other industries that use advanced technology.

  1. Logistics Business: In 2024, logistics grew to 3,109,000 square meters, with plans for expansion in Thailand and Vietnam. Key projects include WHA Mega Logistics Centers in strategic locations. WHA GC Logistics aims to transition from 3PL to 4PL, enhancing service scope.
  2. Mobility Business: WHA launched Mobilix, Thailand’s first integrated green logistics provider, offering EV rental, charging solutions, and software. The goal is to have 20,000 EVs in five years, with 1,700 available for rental in 2025.
  3. Industrial Estate Business: In 2024, land sales reached 2,565 rai. The company aims for 2,350 rai in 2025, focusing on attracting foreign investment in key sectors and developing Smart Industrial Estates.
  4. Utilities Business (Water): The company sold 166 million cubic meters of water in 2024, targeting 173 million in 2025, with a focus on value-added water.
  5. Power Business: In 2024, signed power capacity reached 965 megawatts, with plans to expand renewable energy investments and increase capacity to 1,185 megawatts by 2025.
  6. Digital Business: WHA Digital aims to enhance operations with AI and IoT, targeting 900 vehicles on the Mobilix Platform by 2025 and developing five new applications.
