Thailand’s exports to China surged in October

Thailand’s exports to China in October continued to surge by 27 percent, to a record high of US$1.9 billion in value from the same month last year, according to Kasikorn Research Center KRC.

Thailand’s exports to China in October continued to surge by 27 percent, to a record high of US$1.9 billion in value from the same month last year, according to Kasikorn Research Center KRC.

Although Thai export growth to China dropped slightly from the previous month, it outgrew major export destinations of the United States, Japan, Europe, and ASEAN.It showed China would still play an important role in boosting Thailand’s export sector for the rest of this year through next year.

KRC said Thailand is considered a production network close to China, as it is a quality capital goods and raw material importing source.Also, Thailand remains a source of consumer products recognized by Chinese people whose purchasing power is growing higher.

Thailand ready to ink big Chinese-backed trade deal
