BANGKOK (NNT) – PTT has once again topped the list as Thailand’s most valuable brand for the fourth consecutive year. According to a recent evaluation by Brand Finance, a global brand valuation firm, PTT achieved a brand value of $8.3 billion (approximately 302.72 billion baht), a 25% increase from the previous year. Despite a slight dip in brand strength from AAA to AAA-, PTT continues to lead in the market.
True DTAC’s entry as the fourth most valuable brand
A standout development in the ranking is True DTAC’s entry as the fourth most valuable brand, valued at $2.3 billion (85.45 billion baht). The telecommunications brand has made a strong debut in the list amidst Thailand’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. True Dtac emerged from the largest telecommunications merger in Southeast Asia, combining the strengths of True and DTAC to enhance digital services across Thailand.
The telecom sector, bolstered by the expansion of 5G technology, is seen as vital in driving Thailand’s digital growth. Alex Haigh, managing director for Asia Pacific at Brand Finance, noted the sector’s critical role in supporting the country’s innovation and transformation goals.
The list of the top ten most valuable Thai brands of 2024 also includes AIS, SCG, SCB, Central Retail, Ruang Khao, KBank, KTB, and Indorama Ventures, which represent a diverse range of industries, from retail to finance and manufacturing. Each firm plays an essential role in Thailand’s economic landscape, contributing to the nation’s reputation as a hub of commercial activity.
