BANGKOK (NNT) – The Board of Investment (BOI) provided investment privileges for 1,717 projects worth over Bt481 billion to private companies last year.

Government Spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said the investment privileges were focused on target industries, including electrical and electronics, agriculture and food processing, automotive components, petrochemical, and biotechnology.

He added that medical industry is the sector with remarkable expansion in privilege applications filed with the BOI.
