Bio Investment Asia 2019

BANGKOK, 8th August 2019 (NNT) – The government has continually support the bio-industry which is related to agricultural products, food, medicine and medical devices. In 2018, its market value reached over one trillion baht. Thailand Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) will organize Bio Investment Asia 2019 to showcase biological innovations and provide an opportunity for business matching among researchers, Thai entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
Mr. Nares Damrongchai, TCELS Director General, said the government’s support through various projects as well as the policy to push Thailand towards becoming a regional hub for investment in the bio-industry through investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) allows the Thai bio- industry to grow continually especially the business related to products, research, innovation, medical devices, medicine, cosmetics and supplements. In 2018, its market value reached over one trillion baht.
In order to show the capability of Thailand in the field of bio-life products and services at an international level, the TCELS will organize Bio Investment Asia 2019 from September 25-27, 2019 at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center. Research, innovation and products from the Thai and foreign bio-industry will be displayed. The event will feature academic conferences, exchange of knowledge on development of bio-industry and a business matching activity among researchers, Thai entrepreneurs and foreign investors. It is expected that the event will be attended by more than 10,000 participants from 40 countries.
