Thai SET will start trading five new Depositary Receipts (DRs) connected to Chinese tech stocks on April 22

Thai SET will start trading five new Depositary Receipts (DRs) connected to Chinese tech stocks on April 22

The Stock Exchange of Thailand has accepted the registration of 5 new DRs referencing Chinese technology stocks, namely China Mobile, Haier, Meituan, Tencent and Xiaomi, issued by Yuanta Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which will start trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on April 22, 2025.

The 5 new DRs refer to Chinese stocks listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, namely:

  1. “CHMOBILE19” refers to China Mobile Limited, China’s largest telecommunications service provider, covering mobile, internet and 5G network services.
  2. “HAIERS19” refers to Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of complete home appliances under the Haier brand, focusing on developing smart home solutions and IoT device connectivity systems.
  3. “MEITUAN19” refers to Meituan, a Chinese lifestyle e-commerce platform with a wide range of services, including food delivery, restaurant booking services, accommodation and travel, covering daily life services.
  4. “TENCENT19” refers to Tencent Holdings Limited, a leading technology company engaged in digital services, including games, social media, Digital Payments, Online Advertising, and Cloud Services
  5. “XIAOMI19” refers to the stock of Xiaomi Corporation Co., Ltd., a leading technology company that manufactures smartphones and smart devices, including the Xiaomi Series smartphones and Mi Smart Home devices.

Depositary Receipts (DRs) are instruments that allow investors to receive benefits similar to holding foreign securities. Investors can trade through securities trading accounts in Thai baht.
