Thailand is making progress towards a clean energy society as the number of registered
electric vehicles (EVs) in the country has reached 512,343 units. The majority of
EVs are hybrid vehicles, but there is a growing interest in plug-in hybrid and battery
EVs.

Toyota is the most popular brand in Thailand, followed by Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi,
and Nissan. While Japanese brands still dominate the market, Chinese automakers
are gaining traction by offering affordable EV options.
