## Cabinet Cuts Excise Tax on Diesel

The cabinet has approved a reduction in the excise tax on diesel by one baht per
litre for a period of three months, starting from January 20 to April 19. This decision
aims to alleviate the financial burden on consumers. However, it is estimated that
the state will incur a revenue loss of about Bt6 billion during this period.

## Government Policy and Plans

Julapun emphasized that the government does not have a fixed pricing policy for
diesel, and there are no intentions to decrease benzine prices at this time. This
decision aligns with the government’s commitment to balancing the needs of consumers
with the country’s fiscal responsibilities.
