DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Against the sweltering Saudi
desert where temperatures soar up to 50°C, Harbin Electric International (HEI) is
delivering the landmark [Nairyah 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3kYuWc7KD8)
combined‑cycle power plant, an important project for the significant initiative
of Saudi Vision 2030. A newly‑released documentary tells the inspiring human stories
behind this 1890‑megawatt energy mega‑project, capturing how cross‑border collaborators
turn harsh wilderness into a source of clean electricity for local communities.

Nairyah 2: Together We Illuminate

Built on a remote desert wasteland with limited mobile connectivity at early construction
stages, the project faces stacked obstacles: extreme heat, frequent sandstorms,
tight construction timelines and complex technical requirements for high‑end Siemens
H‑class power equipment. What makes Nairyah 2 truly distinctive is its multinational
workforce, drawing engineers and workers from more than 13 countries across Asia,
Europe and the Middle East. Language gaps and cultural differences once stood as
major barriers, yet HEI’s project team has bridged these divides through open communication,
shared goals and genuine mutual respect.

On‑site meetings gather experts of diverse backgrounds to brainstorm technical solutions.
Beyond work, casual football matches, group activities and shared project branding
build genuine bonds. Colleagues from Spain, South Korea, Pakistan and Saudi regard
the project site as more than a workplace: they have built a big, multicultural
family far away from home.

This high‑end facility adopts an energy cycle technology to cut fuel consumption
and carbon emissions, setting benchmark performance for global power generation.
More than a power plant, HEI fosters inclusive project culture, empowering young
professionals from around the world to work together seamlessly.

One power station provides reliable power for decades ahead; one united team links
hearts across borders. Through sweat, understanding and joint dedication, HEI’s
diverse builders are bringing light to the Saudi land, writing a vivid chapter of
international energy cooperation.
