development, with 10 specialized shows including the Industrial Automation Show,

slip ring modules are built on DECO’s DKT10 series mmWave wireless rotary transceiver
chips. They provide contactless data links between stationary and rotating components,
with support for continuous 360-degree rotation depending on the module and system
configuration. These links carry control commands, status feedback and sensor data,
reducing reliance on mechanical data contacts in applications such as robot joints.

In stationary applications, mmWave links transmit data across physical gaps between
circuit boards or adjacent modules, reducing the need for data cables and contact-
based connectors while providing greater flexibility in equipment layout and module
integration. In rotating applications, the solutions support communication across
rotary interfaces in robot joints, end effectors, rotating vision systems, LiDAR
and gimbals. By reducing dependence on mechanical data contacts and signal wiring
across these interfaces, they help reduce communication-related maintenance associated
with contact wear. Each implementation requires adaptation to its interface requirements,
installation conditions and power-supply arrangement.
