BEIJING, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A report from People’s Daily.

The Empowerers

In a turbulent world, what can bring greater certainty to development? China offers
a decisive response. From wind farms rising across the steppes of Kazakhstan and
bus factories humming back to life, to a railway winding through the mountains of
Laos; from new e-commerce opportunities for young Kenyans to wild honey making its
way out of Zambia’s forests and onto overseas markets, the Empowerers go to the
places where Chinese expertise, technology and opportunity are taking root abroad.

Some cross the equator and travel deep into unfamiliar places, passing on skills
and sharing technical know-how. In helping others build new capabilities, they too
discover new possibilities through the people they meet.

Others learn new trades, overcome barriers and begin to shape futures of their own.
Skills are passed from one generation of workers to the next, opening up paths that
once seemed out of reach.

Across borders and cultures, trust is built through encounters like these. And as
more ordinary people gain the skills and opportunities to shape their own lives,
the idea of a community with a shared future for mankind takes on a more tangible,
human dimension.
