Putting Greens and Lawns Amid Extreme Water Shortage Restrictions_

St. Petersburg, Florida, United States, June 23, 2026 /MarketersMEDIA/ — _Local
golf engineering company delivers tour-quality backyard solutions with zero watering,
mowing, or fertilizing during ongoing drought conditions_

**SEMINOLE, Fla. — June 20, 2026** — As Pinellas County remains under a Modified
Phase III “Extreme” Water Shortage Order with one-day-per-week watering limits and
fines up to $193, Sims & Greens is helping homeowners maintain beautiful, functional
backyards without using water or violating current restrictions.

The local company, which specializes in precision-engineered synthetic turf solutions
throughout Pinellas County, is experiencing increased demand from golfers and families
whose real grass lawns and putting greens are struggling under the drought and watering
bans.

“Real grass simply cannot perform reliably right now,” said Gary Wilder, founder
of Sims & Greens and a low-handicap golfer. “Between the one-day-per-week watering
limits, restricted irrigation hours, and Florida’s summer heat, homeowners are watching
their lawns decline. Our synthetic greens deliver true roll and stimp speeds that
actually help improve scoring — with zero water use.”

Sims & Greens installs multi-layered synthetic putting greens specifically engineered
for Florida conditions. The systems feature superior drainage for tropical storms,
invisible seams, custom undulations, and calibrated stimp speeds that replicate
private club greens. The company also provides complete synthetic turf lawn replacements
across Pinellas County, creating lush, green yards that stay pristine year-round
without mowing, watering, or fertilizing.

These low-maintenance solutions are ideal for busy families, retirees, and serious
golfers in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Seminole, Belleair, Largo, and surrounding
communities who want reliable practice facilities and attractive outdoor spaces
while staying fully compliant with county water rules.

“Homeowners want something that looks great, performs at a high level, and lets
them avoid the challenges of maintaining real turf right now,” Wilder said. “That’s
what we deliver.”

Sims & Greens also designs and builds custom climate-controlled golf simulators
and full short-game backyard facilities. Homeowners can schedule a free design consultation
or start planning with the company’s online Home Golf Planner at simsandgreens.com.

**About Sims & Greens** Sims & Greens is Pinellas County’s premier builder of custom
