**Phu Phrabat Historical Park in Udon Thani is now recognized as a UNESCO World 
Heritage site, making it the eighth site in Thailand to receive this honor. The 
park is renowned for its historical significance, unique rock formations, and prehistoric
cave paintings.**

## UNESCO Recognition for Phu Phrabat Historical Park

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), alongside the Thai government and its citizens,
celebrates the recognition of Phu Phrabat Historical Park as Thailand’s eighth UNESCO
World Heritage site. This site, located in Udon Thani province, is especially significant
as it marks Udon Thani’s second World Heritage listing.

## Cultural Riches of Phu Phrabat Historical Park

Visitors to Thailand are encouraged to include Phu Phrabat Historical Park in their
travel plans to experience its unique cultural heritage. The Park, located in Ban
Phue District, showcases the Sīma stone tradition of the Dvaravati period, featuring
an assemblage of unusually shaped rocks, prehistoric cave paintings, and sandstone
images.
