SET, SCG Lampang, and Association of Lampang Learning on Community Forest Collaborate on Sustainable Forest Project

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Siam Cement (Lampang) Co., Ltd. (SCG Lampang), and Association of Lampang Learning on Community Forest have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to carry out the “SET Sustainable Forest for Community” project. The collaboration aims to enhance community works in Lampang province, focusing on creating sustainability in every dimension and reinforcing the sustainability strategy of Lampang province.

SET’s Commitment to Community Sustainability

SET Senior Executive Vice President Rongrak Phanapavudhikul emphasized the importance of operating with accountability to stakeholders and considering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. The MOU demonstrates a common intention to synergize the strengths of each party towards sustainability for the community, society, and environment. Furthermore, SET has set up a fund to enhance education and career and promote financial literacy among the youth and community dwellers. This collaboration aligns with Lampang province’s strategic plan for sustainable development and will involve the government sector, private sector, social sector, and volunteers for the conservation, restoration, and management of natural resources and the environment.
