Thailand anticipates 40 million foreign tourist arrivals next year, aiming for 3.4 trillion baht in revenue. The government plans a campaign to promote Thai culture and attractions, leveraging companies like Trip.com and Expedia.

Thailand is setting its sights high for 2025, with an ambitious target of 40 million foreign tourist arrivals. This goal is not just a number; it represents a significant rebound to pre-pandemic tourism levels and reflects the country’s comprehensive efforts to revitalize its vital tourism sector.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is targeting a generation of 3.4 trillion baht (US$101 billion) in tourism revenue and has met with executives from diverse travel and hospitality companies to devise strategies for future expansion.

The targets are optimistic, especially considering the slow return of Chinese travelers, a significant market for Thailand’s tourism industry. However, the authority is confident that the combination of big events, strategic promotions, and the inherent appeal of Thailand’s tourist offerings will help achieve these goals.

The Land of Smiles, as Thailand is affectionately known, has long been a favorite destination for travelers worldwide. Its rich cultural heritage, stunning beaches, and vibrant cities offer a diverse range of experiences. The Thai government, in collaboration with major travel companies, is launching promotional campaigns and initiatives to attract tourists and showcase Thai culture and lesser-known destinations.

The country will launch a campaign promoting its vibrant culture, hidden gems, and attractions. This follows a positive trend, with 27 million tourists visiting so far this year, edging towards a goal of 36.7 million.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is focusing on big events and personalized tour packages to cater to various traveler preferences, including the elderly and medical tourists. This strategy aligns with the government’s vision to promote Thailand as a grand tourism destination.
