TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, expressed pride in the recognition, attributing it to Bangkok’s lively atmosphere, world-famous street food, and majestic temples. These elements, she noted, offer visitors a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

This accolade adds to numerous awards Thailand has garnered, establishing its status as a top global travel destination. National Geographic’s selection process involved rigorous research and reporting, with its travel experts identifying Bangkok as a standout. The official announcement, titled “The 25 Best Places in the World to Travel to in 2025,” emphasized Bangkok as a must-visit location, urging travelers to explore its transformed temples.
