Bangkok, 27 May 2025 – In celebration of global Pride Month, the Royal Thai Government unveiled the “Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival”. This event will run throughout June to promote Thailand as an inclusive travel destination. Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized that the festival reflects Thailand’s dedication to human rights and equality. With marriage equality now enshrined in law, Thailand extends a warm welcome to all.
Celebrating Identity and Inclusion
Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, highlighted that the festival aligns with values of identity and dignity, boosting both domestic and international tourism. As part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, the festival champions LGBTQIAN+ rights. It marks a historic milestone following the enactment of marriage equality legislation on 23 January 2025.
Nationwide Festivities and Impact
Throughout June, vibrant celebrations occur across Thailand, boosting the economy and promoting social harmony. Bangkok Pride features events from 30 May to 1 June, while other regions host parades and festivities, including Chiang Mai and Pattaya.
