Centara’s new hotel in Bangkok located a short distance from Bangkok’s mainline railway terminus and on the fringe of Chinatown is to be soft-opened by Centara Hotels & Resorts on 15 July 2013.
Centra Central Station Bangkok is a 150-room hotel in Centara’s value brand portfolio, catering for the needs of individual travellers, families, and groups of friends.

Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts, says the company is very proud to be opening a new hotel in such a significant location.
“This is a location in Bangkok where culture, sights and fabulous food meet,” he says. “For visitors intent on exploring Chinatown, sightseeing in Bangkok, or travelling to Thailand’s resorts and provinces, we shall be offering great comfort in a tremendous location.”
Chinatown is famous for its historic temples and shrines, including the world-famous Temple of the Golden Buddha, along with its shops and markets, and of course for its Chinese restaurants and food stalls, many of them having been family owned for generations and featuring unique recipes and rare ingredients.
The completely new-build hotel will make a perfect base for travellers who are using the mainline railway service, being opposite to Hua Lamphong railway terminus, which serves lines throughout Thailand.
The MRT underground Metro also has a station at Hua Lamphong, and guests at the hotel will be able to use the subway to explore Bangkok.
“We feel Centra Central Station Bangkok really does have an outstanding location and facilities for visitors, and we are very confident indeed that it will find fast acceptance with international and Thai travellers alike,” says Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts.
The décor of the hotel rooms is in a bright modern style, with warm colours and elements of oriental design, and guests will be able to relax at Cense by Spa Cevaree and workout at Cenfit, the hotel’s fitness centre.
The hotel will feature Chyna, a restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine against a city skyline backdrop, and Station Café, an all-day restaurant serving Thai and international dishes from an open kitchen.
Centra Central Station Bangkok is also well located for business meetings, seminars, receptions and other events, and the hotel has five meeting rooms fully supported by conference and presentation equipment such as LCD projectors and screens, together with wireless internet access.
