Levanta Renewables, supported by ACTIS, has signed a 2.2 MWP rooftop solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Karex to provide clean energy for Innalyx Thailand Limited in Hat Yai. This marks Karex’s first solar initiative, expected to deliver approximately 44 GWh of renewable power over the next 15 years, significantly reducing reliance on conventional grid power.
The initiative will help offset at least 26,000 tons of emissions, contributing to sustainable manufacturing practices. Levanta’s CEO, Pramod Singh, expressed pride in providing clean energy and emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the transition to low-carbon energy for commercial sectors.
Karex, the largest condom manufacturer globally, views this partnership as a step towards its sustainability roadmap. CEO Goh Miah Kiat highlighted its role in furthering green manufacturing and meeting broader health product sustainability goals.
