The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced its plan for fiscal year 2024 with a budget of $144.2 million, which aims to increase off-peak tourism, boost spending per trip by 7%, and distribute income to a greater number of destinations.

India is a significant source of tourists for Thailand. Since January 1, 2022, Thailand has welcomed 743,336 Indian tourists, making India the country’s largest source market this year, behind Malaysia. Between 900,000 and 1 million Indian tourists are anticipated to visit Thailand this year.

Open to content creators (producers of blogs, videos, podcasts, and traditional media) and DMOs, tour operators, hoteliers, OTAs, travel brands, and PR and marketing suppliers, TBEX Asia 2022 is being held at the Angsana Laguna Phuket

Strategic marketing campaigns will be launched to bring more visitors from existing markets like the UK and Europe, as well as new markets like Saudi Arabia and large secondary cities in the USA through partnerships with airlines.

The Responsible Thailand Awards have attracted increasingly greater attention each year since their debut. 1,602 Thai tourism enterprises were nominated for the 2022 awards, almost three times as many as for the awards that were last held in 2020.

The university’s Center for Economic and Business Forecasting (CEBF) predicts 9.7 billion baht will be circulated during the festival – the highest level in 10 years.
