[Kota Kinabalu, 31st January] G
& A Group, a premier accounting, tax, and business consultation company
associated to the
Baker Tilly Network, and Rentwise, a certified IT remanufacturer, proudly
announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to spearhead a
collaborative initiative aimed at promoting carbon-neutral remanufactured
computers in Sabah. This joint effort is specifically designed to benefit
micro, small, and medium businesses (MSMEs) in the region, enhancing their
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) profile that is crucial to drive
business growth today.

The
signing ceremony, which marks the formal commencement of this groundbreaking
partnership between G & A Group and Rentwise represents a commitment to
fostering sustainable practices within the Sabah business community. By
promoting the use of remanufactured computers, the partnership seeks to
contribute to a circular economy, reduce electronic waste, and enable MSMEs to
access affordable, high-quality computing solutions.

In context, 15
laptops’ carbon footprint is equivalent to a car’s. Through the adoption of
remanufactured computers, Sabah’s MSMEs can easily and substantively elevate
their ESG profiles. G & A Group and Rentwise will provide consultative
support to businesses seeking to fortify their sustainability practices,
aligning with prevailing global ESG benchmarks.

Dato
George Lim, the founder of G & A Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We believe that this partnership with Rentwise is
a significant step toward promoting sustainable and responsible business
practices in Sabah. By leveraging our expertise in accounting and business consultation, combined with Rentwise’s computer remanufacturing capabilities,
we aim to empower MSMEs to make environmentally conscious choices while
optimizing their operational efficiency.”

Mr.
Lanz Boo, Commercial Director of Rentwise, echoed these sentiments, saying,
“Rentwise is proud to collaborate with G & A Group in this endeavour.
Our commitment to remanufacturing aligns perfectly with G & A Group’s
vision for sustainable business practices. Together, we look forward to making
a positive impact on the business landscape in Sabah.”

The
momentous occasion was witnessed by Datuk Roland Chia Ming Shen, Political
Secretary to the Chief Minister of Sabah, Mr. Patrick Chiam, Chairman of the Malaysia
Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia –
