Senior Parliamentary Secretary Goh Hanyan and MP Poh Li San join industry leaders to celebrate businesses driving environmental and economic impact through food rescue.
SINGAPORE, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Thirty-six food and beverage brands were honoured at the Yindii Eco-Brand Awards 2026, held at Grand Hyatt Singapore, recognising businesses taking meaningful action against food waste while demonstrating that sustainability and commercial success can go hand in hand.
Now in its second year, the awards celebrated a major milestone for Yindii in Singapore. Since launching in late 2024, the food rescue platform has expanded to over 800 participating partners, rescued more than 600,000 meals, prevented approximately 1,500 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions, helped consumers save over S$5.7 million, and enabled food businesses to recover more than S$4.3 million in value from surplus food.
Through its app, Yindii connects consumers with quality surplus food from restaurants, bakeries, hotels and other food retailers at discounts of 50% or more. Businesses recover revenue from food that might otherwise go unsold, while consumers enjoy quality food at more affordable prices.
The ceremony welcomed Ms Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and the Environment, and Culture, Community and Youth, as Guest of Honour, alongside Ms Poh Li San, Member of Parliament for Sembawang West and Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Sustainability and the Environment.
In her keynote address, Ms Goh highlighted the importance of reducing food waste, which is closely tied to Singapore’s food resilience, recognising Yindii’s role in helping businesses recover value from surplus food while making quality food more affordable for consumers. She emphasised that sustainability initiatives must also make business sense, acknowledging the platform’s role in helping businesses manage operating costs and helping consumers with cost of living.
Ms Poh Li San celebrated the collective achievements of Yindii and its partners, challenging the team to aim even higher and expressing excitement about the impact they could achieve by next year’s awards.

Ms Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, and Ms Poh Li San, Member of Parliament, join the Yindii team and participating F&B brands at the Yindii Eco-Brand Awards 2026, celebrating their collective commitment to reducing food waste in Singapore.
Among the 36 brands recognised were Cedele, Dunkin’, Hjh Maimunah, The Soup Spoon, Heybo, Supergreen, Grand Hyatt Singapore, Délifrance and BreadTalk, reflecting the diversity of Singapore’s F&B industry coming together to tackle food waste.
"When we launched Yindii in Singapore, we had a simple belief: great food deserves to be eaten, not wasted," said Louis-Alban Batard-Dupré, Co-Founder and CEO of Yindii. "Today, more than 600,000 rescued meals later, our partners have shown that reducing food waste can also create real value for businesses and consumers. This is more than an environmental initiative — it’s a better way of doing business, and we’re only getting started."
The event also featured a panel discussion on building a more circular food system, bringing together diverse perspectives from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), The Food Bank Singapore and Muuse to explore how collaboration and innovation can accelerate food waste reduction across Singapore’s F&B industry.
As Yindii continues to expand across Singapore and Asia, the awards highlight the collective role of businesses and consumers in making food rescue part of everyday life, ensuring that good food gets eaten, not wasted.
